Stefano loves almonds
Stefano de Pieri knows the importance of great quality produce. He is famous for his cooking and loves to use Australian almonds. As a nationally renowned ‘cook’, host of an acclaimed TV series, author of four culinary books, and the genius behind one of the country’s greatest regional restaurants, it might be assumed that he is all-consumed by the world of food. He isn’t.
He was born in northern Italy and raised on a small farm where he learned to cook by watching his mother prepare seasonal produce grown by the family. “That's why I call myself a cook and not a chef. I cook straight from the heart.” He says.
